HAMPTON – Beloved mother and wife Sheila Rose Prosser visited her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 17, 2021 at 9:55 a.m. She was predeceased by Dylan Prosser, her eldest grandson. She is survived by her husband, Jack Prosser of 64 years; three children, Barry Prosser and his wife, Dale, Tracey Robeson and her husband, Thomas and Timothy Prosser and his wife, Gabriel. She was the grandmother of 7 grandchildren, Dylan, Jerrod and Wyatt Prosser, Alice, Andrew and Kirsten Robeson and Travis Prosser. She was also Lilly and Liam Prosser’s great-grandmother.

She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church on Yorktown Road for 50 years and loved her participation and fellowship with her brothers and sisters in Christ. She worked as a Civil Service Secretary at Langley AFB and retired as Chief Secretary in 1994.

Mom was kind and gentle, loving and caring for everyone. She had a quick wit, a good intelligence, and a strong opinion on the issues that were important to her. She was always welcoming to new friendships and kind to strangers. Her family was perhaps her greatest achievement, and she loved their company and they loved hers. The success of his three children and his importance to them are testimony to this. She is dearly loved and will be missed more than us, her family, can tell.

The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the church with Reverend Douglas Echols. Interment will be private in Peninsula Memorial Park. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
